If we had to name the vessel that most impressed us this year it would have to be the Stad Amsterdam, which made a port call a few weeks ago. She's a fully up-to-date extreme clipper built as a tribute to the fast clipper ships of the 1850/60s.
She's in service as a luxury sailing ship for 3668 passengers in 18 2/4 person cabins or a a day sailor for 120 guests
She's 250 ft. long including bowsprit wit
h a 152 ft. high mast. G.D.
